Visitors enter the structure and move through the habitat as the caterpillars pupate and butterflies emerge. The work uses an agricultural pest species — a consumer of brassicas, managed and exterminated in farming contexts - as the primary material. The enclosure reframes the organism outside its economic designation.The caterpillars were sourced as eggs, purchased from a primary school naturalist supply company and received by post.
