Ants x Interspecies Research Cluster
Project by the Interspecies research cluster collective, investigating technologies of interfacing between ants and humans.
This paper investigates human-ant relations through the use of technological interfaces. We explore theories of interspecies relationality and develop new methods and practical tools for working with ants, such as live and algorithmic simulations, computer vision tracking, and ant habitats (formicaria). A transdisciplinary approach is used to navigate the multiple layers and perspectives of different living subjects, with the overarching aim of revising how we live and think as part of human and non-human collectives.
